Do I have to pay to use Wurdle?
If you are a student, you can register for a Student Account.
Student plans renew monthly and are currently free.
If you are a language school, language department, teacher or tutor then a
School Plan must be set up for your organisation. This will allow you to use Wurdle
to distribute vocabulary to your students.
What extra features does a School Plan provide?
A School Plan provides the features necessary to create and manage content for students:
- Authorise one or more users to manage content creation, modification and other functions
- Create multiple courses for multiple languages
- Share course material by enrolling students into classrooms
How much does a School Plan cost?
All school plans have a 12 month term and are billed monthly. The cost of the plan depends on the maximum number of students you plan to enroll at $2 (plus GST) per student, per month.
Plans can be purchased in any increment of 10 users. Some examples are shown below:

How can I tell how many students are actively enrolled
The school management section of the website will show your current active user count for the month.
What if I have reached my enrolment limit?
Once your enrolment limit is reached you will not be able to enrol additional students. Please contact us to discuss increasing your plan capacity.
If I enrol a student into multiple classes, do I have to pay multiple times?
No. Fees are per student, not per course. A student can be enrolled in multiple
classes at your school and you will pay for them only once.
How do class dates affect billing?
Class dates determine if a student is actively enrolled.
For example, if you run a class from September 5th to November 10th, this counts as 3 months. Each student in your class will be charged at 3 months (unless they started late or were withdrawn early).
Students in an open class are considered actively enrolled until that class is supplied with a finish date and that finish date passes.
What happens if a student enrolls part way through a class?
If a students enrolment date is later than the class start date, then their enrolment date will be used for all calculations that determine their enrolment status.
Do I have to pay for students who have withdrawn from a class?
Once a student has withdrawn, they are no longer considered when calculating your
monthly fees. However, if a student was active for a part of a month, then you
will be charged for that month.
How do I make a payment?
There are two methods for payment:
- Automatic payment can be set up by credit card.
- Approved customers can be invoiced with terms. Invoices are issued monthly on 7 day terms.
What happens if my credit card payment fails or I don't pay my invoice on time?
If you do not pay your fees on time, we reserve the right to suspend your school's account. If this happens:
- Your school management functions will be disabled.
- The continous access policy will be suspended for all courses offered by your school
- Students will be denied access to your course word lists
I have one or more students continuing to a new class at the next level of study, is there a quick way to enrol them in the new class?
Yes. After you have created the new class, locate the old class and use
the Continue Studies option. From here you can select one or
more existing students and the new class to enrol them into.
How does the continuous access policy work?
The continuous access policy allows students to retain access to their previous
word lists as long as they have a continued relationship with a school. While a
student is actively enrolled (or within a grace period) for any class at a school,
they will have access to all course material from previous classes, even if those classes have finished.
The continious access policy does not affect school billing.
What is the grace period?
The grace period allows students to retain access to course material for a period of time after their class ends.
- To provide some additional training after class completion
- To provide access to word lists between periods of study (ie. during semester breaks)
The grace period is currently 90 days. Students who are in a grace period only are not
considered actively enrolled and do not count towards your monthly billing. The continuous
access policy applies during a student's grace period.
